About time: how to work with timeseries in Azure
Data in time series is omnipresent in many applications. From logs to IoT data, many data points occur timestamped. Working with timestamped data is important and can differ significantly from working with "normal" relational data.
However, the toolset for storing and querying time series is wide. Solutions like Time Series Insights, the Timescale extension to PostgreSQL, ADX and OpenTSDB might feel more or less familiar for you, especially when you come from a relational background. But how do they differ, what are their strengths and when should you even consider using a specialized database for your timeseries data?
This session will try to answer these questions coming from a relational background.
