Demystifying Always Encrypted with secure enclaves
Join this session for a deep dive on secure enclaves in Always Encrypted. We will explore how the SQL Server database engine uses enclaves internally to support confidential queries and in-place cryptographic operations. We will dissect the end-to-end query processing workflow, so that you understand how attestation and the key release protocol work. You will learn how indexes on encrypted columns work and the best practice to minimize performance overheads when running enclave queries. We will also address the latest Always Encrypted investments in Azure SQL and other Azure data services.
